Korea Deputy Speaker, Park Byeong-Seug yesterday applauded the
Tanzanian government for its effort and achievements in developing the
information technology sector via the nation’s vocational institutes.Speaking in Dar es Salaam yesterday, shortly after paying an
official visit to the Kipawa Institute of Communication Technology
(KIICT) which is under the Vocational Education Training Authority
(VETA), Byeong-Seug said he was surprised at how fast Tanzania is
improving in the sector of technology.
“Am pleased to be in Tanzania, witnessing these subtle but fast technological developments…” he said. Despite the many challenges facing the country, he acknowledged
that Tanzania has managed to provide technological education to its
people in many ways.As he toured the various KIICT workshops, he pledged to convene
with respective government officials in South Korea for financial
support for the development of ICT in rural communities in the country.“We will also see how we can focus on instructors and management
members’ training so as to increase their number and capacities… ’
pledged the deputy speaker.
