University of Dodoma (UDOM) plans to offer Chinese language courses as a key to learning from the best practices of China.
The courses will be offered under the newly
established Confucius Institute at UDOM to allow students and ordinary
citizens to learn and understand Chinese language and culture.
UDOM Vice Chancellor, Prof Idris Kikula revealed this recently in an interview on the university’s plans.“This will not only be beneficial to students but
to all who wish to learn the language, especially businessmen who tend
to travel to China,” said Kikula adding;
“We are very delighted that this plan has attracted
many students as a large number have already registered for the course…
the outcome has exceeded our expectations.”
According to Kikula, they have signed a memorandum
of understanding for the establishment of the Confucius Institute at
UDOM with Zhengzhou Institute of Aeronautical Industry Management (ZZIA)
China to carry out the role.
