PRIME Minister Mizengo Pinda is expected to
be the guest of honour during this year's Easter Festival to be held at
the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on March 31, this year, organizers
said.
A statement issued by the festival's organizing committee chairman,
Alex Msama, said they have received confirmation from Prime Minister's
office that the Premier will honour the event. "We're happy that our
festival this year will be graced by the Primer Minister Mizengo Pinda,"
said Msama.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,
Bernard Membe was the guest of honour during last year's festival held
at the same venue. Kenya-based Congolese gospel ace Solomon Mukubwa will
headline the list of international artistes who will be performing
during the annual festival to be staged at various regions around the
country.
Mukubwa is currently one of the most sought after African gospel
singers. He has always touched people by his music and singing. Known
for his energetic stage performances and bewitching vocal, Mukubwa
promises to thrill fans with some of his captivating songs, including
'Mfalme wa Amani', 'Mungu Mwenye Nguvu' and 'Uwe nami Bwana'.
He will be joined by a host of other renowned contemporary gospel
musicians, including Sipho Makhabane from South Africa, Ephraim Sekeleti
from Zambia and Ambassadors of Christ choir from Rwanda.
